Countdown: Day Three
Leslie has hired a New York marketing firm to get her to the
top and they are earning their keep! In two days time she's come out of
nowhere, sent Rick flying and then tackled us causing a face-first flop into the
mud. Beating up a couple others too before, heh heh, she punted BECKY right
through the uprights for a three-pointer that blasted BECKY off page one and
back on page two. Heh heh. With us. Well, in a higher position than us but
still - with us. And she thought she was so smart. Anyway, I get sidetracked
every time BECKY comes into my thoughts, I was talking about Leslie. Today she
is in #10!!! (Sigh, remember how nice it was there with the ferris wheel as its
enhancement? Never mind that it took all of us to crank the thing so that one
could ride it, it beat where we are now with its birchbark canoe as its "step
up" with no place to use it. The sign on it says, "Admire the craftsmanship."
Well, that didn't take long and we'd much rather be admiring the craftsmanship
of whatever is the enhancement on #1. Probably raining silver dollars there.
Thank God, we've always had an indoor toilet at all our stops along the road.
One must remember to be thankful for what one has, mustn't one?)
Day Three: US: Still in #15 and at one point yesterday more
than 100 votes ahead of Rick. Not so now but not bad. We have 2333 votes which
is 42 votes more than yesterday. Rick is in #16 with 2226 votes, a pick up of
28 votes for him. I'm very suspicious about that. Rick has something up his
sleeve I just feel it. Let's get back to 100+ votes ahead of Rick just because
we can!
