Reader's Digest Countdown: Day 4
Beer!!!! Corona!!! Come and get it. Sorry about the lateness
of the hour getting back to camp yesterday with the beer. Ask the nag why that
was. Well, she isn't likely to tell you the truth so I will. She'd walk, and I
mean walk, not even a trot left in her, about five feet and then she would stop
and whinny and snort and throw her head back and forth until I gave her a beer.
Well, she did that so often she got tipsy and then Lordy, Lordy, I thought the
season was going to change before we got back. Not only was she stumbling all
over but she kept getting lost because she was trying not to see double by
shutting one eye. I had a six pack the minute we got back to camp last night
out of pure relief that we aren't still on the trail. This is the nag's last
camping trip and it may be her final resting place if she doesn't straighten up
and I mean now.
Standings: We are still in #15 and Rick is still in #16 and
we are very, very close to being 100 votes ahead of him again. Us: 2291 votes
- picked up 39 votes yesterday. Rick: 2198 votes - picked up 9 votes
yesterday. Well, that won't hold. Rick will be back with 4 days to go. Let's
get out there and blast that "vote now" button! We made it two months so we can
certainly zoom home in the last four.
I'm thinking about making these emails available as a boxed
set for a nominal sum. I wonder if Reader's Digest would promote that for
me?
