Countdown: Day 11

Jumping out of my skin here! We have 2007 votes and some of my friends in rural North Dakota are gonna' drive all the way to the big city, Fargo, to throw a whoop-dee-doo for us when the vote hits 2011 - which will be very, very soon. For those of you who have only seen Fargo in the movie (fabulous movie) you are in for quite the treat!. Well, come to think of it, I'm in for that same treat since neither have I The last time I was in Fargo I flew in at night and I got so lost I was thinking the National Guard would have to escort me out of the metropolis. If it hadn't been for my friends, Ilene and Mike, I'd still be driving around shouting' ,"oofda!!" So, I'm as excited as the rest of ya' I can tell ya'. I'll give you the details when they are available. I would imagine the whingding will be at the armory or some place like that knowing the accomodations that are usually available in the midwest. But, stick around and I'll tell you for sure. Dave P., who actually was the instigator of the idea, has asked for duck soup as he is nauseated at the thought of any more turkey but has a real hankering for duck - so duck it'll be.

The standings: We are still in #14 and I like the way we've spruced up the place, don't you? As I mentioned we have 2007 votes - a gain of 39 votes. The yellow cauion flag is flying though because there is a mad dash going on as we get closer to the end (the end, really? Praise the Lord!). Gina got knocked back one more spot and now is in #17 (did she quit the race and just not say anything to anyone? What happened to Gina?) replaced by some hot dog named Steve who blew in out of nowhere. Rick, who is in #15 behind us was 200 votes behind us but now he is 177 votes behind us. That may be just fine but gaining is gaining as we know from our own strides in the past.
BECKY is on page one and I won't give her the satisfaction of having me look at her place or votes.
So, it's time to line up the voters and punch that button over and over again. Stay tuned for the 2011 details! Thank you!
