Turkey Chowder (Plan ahead to use up that leftover Thanksgiving Turkey!)
Just delicious. Toss in a potato or two if you desire.


Turkey Chowder
1½ hours | 20 min prep
SERVES 8 -10
- 1 cup finely chopped green onion
- 1 cup finely chopped carrot
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups turkey broth or chicken bouillion
- 2 cups half- and -half
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- 2 cups diced cooked turkey
1. Saute onions, carrots, celery in butter until soft but not brown
2. Blend in flour
3. Gradually stir in broth, then half& half.
4. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
5. Stir in salt, pepper, cayenne, and turkey.
6. Stir a few minutes until turkey is heated through.
