When I am asked to designate my employer I enter "self".  When I am asked what it is that I do for a living, I call out "writer".  I have been "self" employed since 2000 so I am used to that designation, but for six years I was something much different than a writer.  Branding myself a writer is relatively new and still doesn't roll off my tongue as easily as I would like.  However, a writer I am and I was recently pleased to have another of my essays published.  The essay is entitled, Summer and the other Season, and it can be found at the online literary magazine, Flask and Pen.  I hope you enjoy reading it.
