If there is ever a time that I am glad I didn't live it is during the dark ages.  Or, maybe I did (?) since I have such a loathing for them!

The site medievality.com whose link is above this is chock full of fascinating information.  I was going to pull the headlines for the medieval tortures so you could read those there but after reading them myself they were too sickening.  LOL

What was life like during the Dark Ages? The Dark Ages were a period of great misery for some and great happiness for others. Please read the following articles to have a basic understanding of the time:
