Fashion Colors for Fall 2008
I am a writer and I am writing a number of things right now but today and yesterday and probably tomorrow I am concentrating on a novel, Besotted.
That novel briefly features a Fashion Director whose office was across the hall from mine when I was not a writer but involved in another career, department store human resources.
She was the quintessential Fashion Director sporting the most magnificent ruby cross on a chain around her neck that was just the right length to fall in the cleft of her breasts where it beamed in her unbuttoned to there shirts.
It was so easy for me to be fashion forward in those days - I only needed to listen to the Fashion Diva expound on trends and must-haves and what colors were and were not flattering for me.
Here's to you, Joyce, and I so wish I could just pop into your office and have you advise me instead of having to pore through "In Style" and other publications that take up so much time! LOL

According to the report, the fall '08 palette is best described as a season of change and is defined by rich, elegant hues that offer a vibrant selection. New York's fashion designers emphasize cooler blues, greens and purples in the top five tones used in their collections, followed by variations of warm red, orange and yellow.
That works for me!!! I hate seasons where the "colors" are black, white and taupe!

"Fall is traditionally a time for subdued, quiet colors, but this season we are seeing a shift toward cool hues with bright, exciting undertones," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. "Conventional tones such as warm autumn hues, chocolate browns and steel grays are also among the fall color choices. Blue and purple tones have become staples, as illustrated by Blue Iris, one of the top 10 colors chosen by designers this season, and Pantone's Color of the Year for 2008."

A while ago I thought about joining a Red Hat group but that was a while ago. Now that Iam 60 I am thinking about joining a Salsa dance group instead!

I have a friend who belongs to a Red Hat group, and she is having the time of her life going to tea in other towns, etc. She makes all her own hats and matching ensemble.... Interesting.
I am with you, Annette... Salsa is infinitely more fun... LOL
