We just wrapped up our Spring leg of the Giving up The Ghost tour. It was a success and a great time all around. Thanks to all who came out to support us this past month. I’m off to tour with Phil Lesh and Friends for a bit. No rest for the wicked. Hope to see some folks out at the PLF shows. We’ve been working up new stuff to throw into the sets. Come on out!!
Jackie
Jackie Greene
For years we have been following a local blues band, Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers. We really like their music so we go to their concerts quite often. At one of his concerts Mick started talking about this new guy on the scene, Jackie Greene. He just raved about him. Well, okay then........ We needed to find out about Jackie Greene.
He was playing locally at a little club downtown called Marilyn's on most Wednesday nights. One Wednesday night John and one of his pals went to hear him and came home completely sold. Jackie wasn't going to be just a small town sensation.
Soon after that, Jackie was the opening act for Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers. We were there. Jackie was awesome and I figured that would be the last time he would be the opening act for Mick Martin. It was.
The last time we saw Jackie perform was at the "new" Marilyn's (new and much larger location than the old) on New Year's Eve. He was back in town for the holidays and decided to give a concert at his "birthplace". It was a wonderful New Year's Eve and I think you would be glad you did if you check out Jackie's music! There are samples below.

Request “Shaken” at Radio
Hi all,
We’re in Denver currently. Had an awesome time playing to a packed house last night. We hope to have similar nights ahead of us on this tour.
You can help us out by requesting “Shaken” at your radio station. It really does help out a lot.
Thanks fellers
Tour so far…
Hi all,
We’ve been having some fantastic shows so far. Tonight we played to a packed house in a small joint in Santa Fe. The audience was great. Dancing, drinking, singing. A proper night of music. We had so much fun twisting and weaving songs in and out of each other. The last few nights we’ve been really loose and trying some completely random shit.
We had a day off in Flagstaff, AZ. Beautiful place. Boring as all hell, but pretty to look at.
I want to remind people to go easy on the flash photography during the shows. Generally, we aren’t that keen on photographers snapping all night, but we do realize that everyone and their mother has a camera phone these days. If you must take pictures, do us all a favor and go easy on the flash.
The first single of the new record is called “Shaken”. You can help us out by calling in to your local station and requesting it. People ask how we decide where to tour. We don’t. You do. We only go where people will show up. Radio helps us get there. To you, I mean.
We’re headed to Denver next. Hope to see some folks out there. Take care
Fillmore - SF
Wow. All I can say is wow. I love the Fillmore. I love San Francisco. Every time we play there, I feel re-charged. The sweat drips off the walls…the sound fills the air….it swirls, it snarls, it gets funky…it’s a proper rock and roll gig.
We had a great time tonight folks…thanks to all those who could be there! Special thanks to Phil Lesh, Barry Sless, Steve Molitz and Nicki Bluhm for dropping by to do some tunes with us. And of course, a very special thanks to Jackpot. They have a new record called “Moonbreath” that is awesome. Check it out.
There’s something magical about the San Francisco Fillmore. I hope it never goes away.
