I went looking for unusual candle sticks and I found this trio!

Okay, appreciate them I do but $335.00 for the set is too steep for me so it is good that they don't fit into my decor anyway. Just as I was thinking that $335.00 for three candle sticks was silly I found this...

What the hell? I blew up the picture so you could study the candle as carefully as I am. $180.00, eh? I must be out of touch.
Well, then, I'm out of touch too....Yikes! I used to make handmade candles quite often and am pretty sure I know the techniques used in that very pretty block candle....$180? Uh, no.....not even in today's economy.
As far as the candleholders? They are gorgeous and I know blown glass is a true artform. BUT....a really nice technique is to buy clean lined glass holders, such as those, and paint them with glass stain....very, very close to the same look if you're careful in application and following directions.
