I love rag rugs.  There are many here that are appealing to me.

Marcia Chambers founded Ragtime Rugs in the heart of Amish Country in 1984.

Marcia is a world renowned rug weaver. Her original creations have been featured in: Midwest Living, Country Living, Better Homes & Gardens, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis Star, and Ag Day TV Show.

Rugs are handwoven by Marcia and local crafters in the Amish community of Northern Indiana.

    My sister's friend in BC, makes rag rugs and cabinet "runners", using only strips of material from blue jeans. She washes, bleaches and dyes the jean material, then creates threads and strings, as it were. When she is happy with the results, she weaves these into rugs, runners etc. on a big loom.... Very beautiful result...
