It is spring!
An equinox in astronomy is that moment in time (not a whole day) when the centre of the Sun can be observed to be directly above the Earth's equator, occurring around March 20 and September 23 each year.
Google did a classy job acknowledging the day and I know that their mission statement is to be seen/used by as many people as possible so I am helping them accomplish that.

A rose by any other name is still a rose. A tulip is spring, it is sunshine, it is warmth, it is light. it is bright. It is a "Plethora of Colour" It is the twinkle in your lover's eye, and a joy to behold.
